Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses Iron Scores, which is run by [Company name] (trading as Iron Scores), [Registered address]. By making an account or entering a competition you agree to them. Contact: privacy@ironscores.app.

Accounts

• You must be 13 or over. If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian first.
• Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• Give accurate details, and only claim results that are genuinely yours.

Competitions are run by the gyms

Iron Scores provides the software. Each competition is organised and run by the gym that set it up, not by us. The organiser is responsible for the event itself, including safety, equipment, judging, rules, categories, weigh-ins, prizes and refunds, and for the accuracy of the results they enter.

Questions about an event, an entry or a result should go to the organiser. Their gym page and the competition page show who they are.

Strongman carries a risk of injury

Strongman involves lifting and carrying very heavy objects, and there is a real risk of serious injury. When you enter a competition you confirm you are fit to compete, you take part at your own risk, and you accept the organiser's own disclaimer if they have one. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

Entry fees and payments

• Entry fees are set by the organiser and paid to the organiser, either by card through the gym's own Stripe account or directly to the gym.
• Refunds are up to the organiser. Iron Scores doesn't take a share of entry fees.
• Gyms pay Iron Scores for running competitions at the prices shown on the pricing page.

For gyms

• You're responsible for your scorers and anything they enter.
• You may use entrants' details only to run your competition, and must look after them in line with data protection law. You're a separate data controller for entry details you download or export.
• Only upload photos and logos you have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Don't post anything unlawful, abusive or misleading, impersonate anyone, try to break or overload the service, or scrape it in bulk. We may remove content or close accounts that break these terms.

Results and availability

We work hard to keep Iron Scores running, especially on competition days, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. Results are as entered by the organiser. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to a gym is limited to what it paid us in the previous 12 months.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version above. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
